Keeping your walk fun

We had Teddi out for a training session today. Her owner Ann has found walking a nightmare as Teddi has a tendency to jump up and bite at the lead. Working on her leaving the house in a calm manner, going into a sit, stay when the door is opened really worked. Ann then remembered to give lots of praise when Teddi was doing well and as you can see from the picture, Teddi was engaged and focused on her throughout. We also worked on a trigger Teddi has in the car. She had been barking constantly as soon as the seatbelt was unclipped. By telling her she was a good girl when she was quiet and removing our attention when she barked we were able to get out the car with a calm dog.
