People often leave it too long before even asking this question. You should start training your new puppy from the moment you pick them up from the breeder. Often the 1st training opportunity comes before you even get your puppy to the car. Find a suitable patch of grass and set them down and let them sniff around. When they go pee or poo you praise and reward thus starting toilet training. If the drive home is over an hour stop half way and repeat the process. When you arrive at your home repeat again. By doing this you’re new puppy will be beginning to understand that they should go toilet outside before you even enter the house with them for the 1st time. when you 1st enter the home the 1st place they go should be the crate which you have prepared with a bed in it. This gives them a safe place to get acclimatised to their new surroundings and will massively help with crate training.
So in summary, start training your puppy from minute one and you’ll reap the benefits massively throughout the puppyhood stage.
